There is a lockdown drill currently in progress at Northville Central School. The drill began at 1:59 p.m. This lockdown is just a drill – there is NO emergency.
The State Education Department requires school districts to perform lockdown drills and fire drills throughout the school year to ensure student safety in event of an actual emergency. Today’s event is simply one of those practice drills.
There will be another post when today’s lockdown drill is complete.
